Operation Holiday Cheer

The Open Link is proud to announce Operation Holiday Cheer 2026!

The holiday season is a time of family gatherings and gift giving, festive decorations, and wishes for peace, goodwill, and hope for the new year. However, not every Valley family, especially those facing financial hardships, can enjoy this special time of year. That's where Operation Holiday Cheer comes in!

During the holiday season, our Operation Holiday Cheer toy and coat room provides eligible Valley parents and grandparents with the opportunity to shop for toys, gift cards, stocking stuffers, and/or coats for their children and grandchildren at no cost. Last year, 481 children woke up to presents under the tree for the holidays because of Operation Holiday Cheer!

Participants

Interested parents and/or grandparents may contact Laura Dzugan, Program Director, at laurad@theopenlink.org or 215-679-4112 beginning Monday, November 9. If you qualify, you will be scheduled for an appointment at that time.

Our toy and coat room opens Monday, November 23, and runs through Wednesday, December 23. The room is located at our Penn Street location, 452 Penn Street, Pennsburg, PA 18073.

Donations

We are in need of toy, gift card, stocking stuffer, and coat donations to keep our Operation Holiday Cheer toy and coat room stocked for our Valley families!

We will begin accepting donations on Monday, November 9, through Wednesday, December 16. Check back soon for our Operation Holiday Cheer Gift Wishlist, Stocking Stuffer Wishlist, and Gift Card Wishlist!

Items can be dropped off during our normal business hours (M-F 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, T 8:00 AM-7:00 PM) at our Penn Street location. If you have a large amount of items to donate, we are happy to schedule a donation drop off time to ensure that we are best prepared for your arrival.

You can also shop our Amazon and/or Walmart wishlists and ship items directly to our Penn Street location! Check back for our Amazon and Walmart wishlists soon. You may also order items online and drop them off at our Penn Street location.

Thank you for supporting Valley families this holiday season!

In addition to gifts and stocking stuffers, we are also collecting gift cards to help our participating families purchase gifts for their children. Please note that we are collecting physical gift cards, not e-gift cards, and to select physical card when ordering. Thank you!
